Ryan Doyle, Team Gator

Ryan Doyle works on the Wakeboard Camp Project and is one of the best Wakeskaters in the World. Always willing to help, he gave us an unforgettable pool gap session one evening which I will tell you all about, as we don’t have any photos.

The last day the team stopped filming with the boat, to concentrate on the Cable and its pool gap. While everyone was testing ‘The Hive’ Mr. Ryan was drinking Singha – a Thai Beer with FX – our pilot. So when FX asked him why he wasn’t training – he replied “That he was saving himself for the night session which he thought would be more fun” and promptly went to sleep.

In the evening, we organised a Barbeque with 5 x 500watt spots around the pool and their was a lot of ambiance and not too much light. So while a few Riders gently tried the first slide, our friend Ryan went directly to the big, higher slider for his first test.

To everyones amazement, after about 10 attempts, he passed the whole of the slider and landed like a flower.

When you know that Hugh Charbit was the only one to manage it in wakeboardand then next day, Keith, you can imagine the perfect control of this wakeskater.
